Day 01: Arrival DelhiWelcome to India!! Upon arrival please clear immigration formalities and proceed to exit gate where you will be greeted by our representative with pla card under your name. After a warm welcome transfer to hotel. After hotel check-in, have some free time on your own to adjust to the new time zone. Stay for two nights in Delhi.
Optional: Visit to witness Bollywood show at Kingdom of Dreams.
Day 02: DelhiMorning meet your tour guide at the hotel lobby for a short briefing and then proceeds for sightseeing of Old Delhi where you come across the heritage of Mughal times. Drives pass through Red Fort, renowned landmark of 17th century. Visit Jama Masjid; the largest mosque in India built in red sandstone with extensive use of marble, with relics of the Prophet and Holy Quran enshrined here. Between the mosque and Chandni Chowk is a narrow shop-lined street along which you will be transported by cycle rickshaws on your most photogenic journey of the tour. Chandni Chowk was Shahjahanabad’s Main Street in 1650, facing the majestic Red Fort. Afternoon drive past New Delhi, built in a typically British colonial style and designed by Lutyens with tree-lined avenues, colonial bungalows. The drive will include photo opportunities at some of the following attractions - the exterior the Parliament House, the War Memorial Arch (India Gate) and the Vice Regal Palace, now the official residence of the President of India in New Delhi. Conclude your day with visit to Qutub Minar; built at a height of 72.5m, and being one of the most important landmarks of Delhi & Humayun’s Tomb. Evening enjoy exploring the local markets on own.
Day 03: Delhi - Jaipur (by surface: 06 hrs drives)After a leisurely breakfast travel to Jaipur by surface, also known as the Pink City because of the colour of the stone used exclusively in the walled city and is steeped in history and culture. Here the past comes alive in magnificent forts and palaces, blushed pink, where once lived the maharajas. The bustling bazaars of Jaipur, famous for Rajasthani jewellery, fabric and shoes, possess a timeless quality and are surely a treasure-trove for the shoppers. This fascinating city with its romantic charm takes you to an epoch of royalty and tradition. Upon arrival you will be received with a warm welcome and will check into hotel. Stay for two nights in Jaipur.
Later in the evening enjoy Cooking demo followed by Dinner with Royal Family.
This morning proceed for guided visit of Amber Fort, en-route photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace); built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh at a time when women of the royal family had to observe strict purdah. Continue your morning with Amber Fort excursion, the ancient capital of Rajasthan and the majestic palace complex to witness a unique system of air-conditioning of 17 th century. The most enthralling experience of Amber Fort is the gaily elephant ride. A beautiful complex of Palaces, halls, pavilions, garden and temples, it still stands in magnificent state. The red sandstone and white Marble palace has some very interesting apartments- Diwan-I-Am, Ganesh Pol, Sheesh Mahal, Sukh Niwas, Jai Mandir, Man Singh Palace and Shila Devi Temple. Afternoon proceed to visit City Palace and Royal Observatory. Evening enjoy walking tour exploring the old markets which showcases the colorful lifestyle of Jaipur people.
Day 05: Jaipur - Agra (by surface: 06 hrs drives approx.)Morning check out and travel to Agra. En-route you can opt for a short visit to Abhaneri, an ancient village in Rajasthan is renowned for its post-Gupta or early medieval monuments, Chand Baori - one of the largest step wells in India and Harshat Mata temple, which dates back to 10th century, is dedicated to Goddess of Happiness, Harshat Mata, who spreads joy to the entire village. Arrive at hotel, check in and rest for a short duration. Later in the afternoon visit to Agra Fort a UNESCO World Heritage; the imposing structure on the banks of the river Yamuna is replete with priceless examples of craftsmanship in the Mughal period. It blends the Hindu and central Asian architectural styles very beautifully. Built by Emperor Akbar the maze of courtyards, mosques and private chambers of the fort, echo the story of the Mughal Empire.
Optional: Enjoy visit to witness Mohabbatein the Taj Show at Kalakriti Cultural & convention center. Stay overnight at Agra.
Day 06: Agra - Delhi (by surface: 04 hrs drives) - depart to onward destination (TBA)Sunrise visit to Taj Mahal - the epitome of love, stands on the banks of the river Yamuna built in the 17th century by the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan. The Taj attracts millions of tourists from all over the world. To experience the beauty of this architectural marvel, it needs to be viewed at different times of the day and year. The white marble building changes its hue with the variations in the daylight. Made entirely of white marble and decorated with exquisite pietra dura (stone inlay) work, different types of precious and semi-precious stones were used in the intricate inlay work done on the interiors. This magnificent monument is built around a Charbagh or ’four garden’ plan, split by watercourses— reflects the influence of Persian architectural style. Return to hotel for breakfast. Later on time you will be transfer to Delhi International Airport to board flight to onward destination.
